Kanchan Basnyat wins Soaltee golf myrepublica, 2-Apr-11
Kanchan Basnyat won the title of Soaltee Crowne Plaza Annual Golf Tournament at the Gokarna Golf Course, Kathamandu on Saturday.
Basnyat scored 38 points in the tournament played under stableford format with 3/4 handicap. Suhrid Ghimire stood overall runner-up with 37 points. Basnyat received an economy class international return ticket to any online destination of Eithad Airways.
Rene Vijay Shrestha Einhaus stood as the best gross winner with 33 gross points while Lobsang Tashi became runner-up best gross with 31 gross points.
Kencho Ongdi scored 33 points to win the ladies title while Mrs Yoo was runner-up with 32 points.
In seniors category, LP Gurung claimed the first prize with 37 points while MB Limbu stood second with 35 points. Likewise, Sonam Ongdi won juniors title with 19 points in count back to Prithivi Malla.
Meanwhile, Sung Gul Yoo received award for the best front nine score while Purna Shakya won the prize for the best back nine score.
Sameer Acharya bagged gifts for hitting longest drive in men´s category and Kesang Lama won it in women´s section.
Thet Oo won the prize for closest to the pin while Kesang Lama won the award for closest to the pin- 2nd shot.
